Handyperson - WPA
Waterside Primary Academy
Hours of work: approx. 15 hours per week (hours will vary from week to week)
Rate of pay: £15 per hour (inc. holiday pay)
Waterside Primary Academy is looking for a temporary Handyperson to carry out
a range of duties as directed by the Headteacher to contribute to the maintenance of the school premises.
Experience of working in a similar role is preferable but knowledge of basic maintenance such as remedial painting and decorating, repairs to fittings and small scale improvements, fittings shelves or noticeboards is essential as is the knowledge/ability to acquire knowledge of Health and Safety in the workplace and security and fire alarm systems and associated equipment.
Applicants must be able to work independently and take direction and have good interpersonal, communication (including fluency in written and spoken English) and organisational skills including the ability to record key tasks and prioritise workload. Some manual handling will be required.
